INTERACTIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCE
‘box’ x sustainability mindset change
Out-of-the-box thinking to support more sustainable behaviours
nothing changes …
without a change in mindset
Your mindset (aka your box) determines the way you see the world.
When you change how you look at things, it changes how your feel.
When you change how your feel, you change how you think.
Changing how you think, can transform the actions you take and the way you approach the world.
‘Box’ learning experiences
Many people want to be more sustainable, but the world’s problems seem so large and complex that they don’t know where to start. Making small adjustments to everyday actions helps, but it won’t be enough. Real change requires more fundamental shifts in the way we think.
‘The B❒X’ and ‘Hack your Box’ are mindset training workshops that support you to change your world view and increase your handprint to champion sustainability.
Our workshops don’t tell you what to think. Instead, they led participants through a process of self-exploration to create personal models for new thinking that enables new possibilities and results.
Both the B❒X and Hack your Box can be customised for different audiences and challenges, such as by focusing on actions specific to certain types of professional roles, tailoring to company sustainability goals and dedicating more time to exploring and brainstorming new actions.

What makes box x sustainability workshops different?
Relatable metaphor:
Thinking out of the box
One of the more common phrases used in business when current thinking is not getting desired results is, “We need to think out of the box.” Box workshops change that phrase from tired cliché to actionable mindset shift leading to predictable change.
Leveraging the IKEA Effect:
The DIY B❒X
”The IKEA effect is a cognitive bias in which consumers place a disproportionately high value on products they partially created.” The DIY Box creates that sense of connection and ownership which can generate deeper reflection.
Participant Directed Change
The process is not prescriptive in nature. No one is told what to think, or how to change. Instead, participants are led through a process of self-exploration of the thinking that they want to change, and then create a model for that new thinking and the impact of that thinking on their Box.
From Conceptual to Concrete
Each person’s mindset is invisible to themselves. Unconscious bias, (or bias of any type) is very hard to identify, let alone change. The Box metaphor, and the process of creating and writing on the physical box makes the invisible > visible, and with that awareness comes the opportunity for change.
A Physical Artifact
The vast majority of learning solutions have no real-world artifact. The DIY Box creates a meaningful artifact that exists when the person leaves the training or the computer is turned off. It is common for people to leave their DIY Box on their desk as a reminder of their new thinking.
co-creation
At Co-CREATE ImpACT we embrace out of the box thinking, immersive workshops and engaging trainers.
The original B❒X methodology was created by Jimbo Clark of Innogreat, and we are proud to be licensed B❒X Facilitators delivering change through using B❒X based programs.
Hack your Box for Sustainability is the outcome of a collaboration with Jimbo. During the early days of the COVID pandemic, we co-created the workshop bringing together Jimbo’s mindset and innovation expertise with our sustainability outlook. Since then the workshop has been experienced by people from all over the world in academic and corporate contexts, as well as being regularly included in United Nations training programmes.
demo time
We run regular online Hack your Box demos so that you can have the opportunity to experience the workshop for yourself before deciding if it is the right fit for your audience.
The next demo is on Friday 28th February 2025 at 12h30 (CET), to register please send an email to alice.richard@cocreateimpact.com
